Tears in her eyes
a needle in her hand
she prepares to take flight
to realms unseen
the world glows bright
then fades to darkness
suddenly,images of light
hallucinations shining forth
locked in her own world
realms out of our sight
washed away in a river of ecstasy
pleasure overflowing restraint
thus she remains
moaning with passion
fantasies running amok
with no room for reason
slowly the stupor subsides
and guilt gains ground
with sadness she realises
yet again she gave in
when she sees him there
tears flow from eyes
bitterness sears through her
a reflection of his plight
not a word is spoken
looks convey what words dont
of succumbing and addiction
of promise betrayed
the father is numb beyond despair
he had seen her lively witty and full of life
full of sun and rainbows,brightness and hope
before she destroyed herself in his sight
now circles of darkness adorn her eyes
which just stare ahead ;blank,bloodshot.
nerves protrude from tender hands
telling the tale of a soul's decay and rot
she is less than human now
no more than animal
fighting tooth and nail
to get her "fix " everyday
she sold her soul
to rid her pain
there is no life left now
only poison coursing through her veins
the Time has passed now
it is too late
yet another hope betrayed
by cruel twist of fate
sometimes i sit and wonder
how a moment of desperation changes lives
how trying to escape reality
destroys countless lives

EDGE OF REASON=ENLIGHTENMENT
When you drove me to desperation
I was forced to see reason
when pushed me to the brink of hell
i felt the light of heaven
when you almost made me lose myself
i realised who i truly was
when i lost everything i ever loved
i could understand what love truly was
when i had not a penny in my pocket
i knew then who my real friends were
when my greatest dream was shattered
i found the courage to pick myself up and move on
when pessimism and shyness drove me to a halt
i could see how my vision had to expand
thank you god for all the suffering
the tears and turmoil
yes they burnt like fire
but they also helped me forge myself
now i believe, that "whatever life hurls at you
only breaks your limitations
when you lose you always gain
that is the price tag for finding yourself.

hand in hand they walked by
she thought of him to be her one true friend
and he thought of her as his one true love
they had been together for many years
through ups and downs ,smiles and tears
with both unsure of the other's feelings
and unsure for whom their heart was beating
neither had the courage to own up
neither had the courage to ask
and now and errie silence stood between them
a wall through which neither could pass
thus they walked turmoil raging in their hearts
and anguish dancing in his soul
when they both felt they couldn't take anymore
Nature took control
A gentle breeze
a caressing drizzle
the cloudy sky
yet the full moon shining high
this brought Smile to their faces
thoughts of exotic days and far away places
the Smiles blossomed into Laughter
and Laughter brought Her friend Joy
and there they stood the wall now broken
and they spoke thoughts unspoken
and finally,he told her of the love in his heart
and of his desire to be together and never part
he let his emotions ride
and made his feeling known
he spoke eloquently of the love in his heart
and ask her to join him in wedlock
she hesitated still unsure
her heart raced with emotions unseen
then a sudden moment of clarity
and only He could be seen
the frown ceased and the brows widened
the pursed lips flowered into a smile
blood rushed to her cheeks and made her flush
and her eyes exuded a starry glow
"yes "she said face alight
"marry me"she said voice full of life
in the church they stood faces bright
thereby pronounced man and wife

this is version 2 of ma previous poem.this deals with what we think of love and commitment
WE SAY "YES I DO"
we want to be what we really are
we are sick of shyness,tired of restraint;
we dont wish to be just another face in the crowd
we ant to break dogma,and speak our mind.
we shall not lock our love in the dungeons of the heart
we will let it flow free engulfing our very soul.
we dont fear commitments, nor care for reproach.
we have the courage to speak up
and let our feelings be known
to walk up the aisle hand in hand
and boldly say"unto death do we part"
meaning it in the deepest sense of the words
where souls unite and identities merge

We are tired of treading the trodden path
we wish to believe,to achieve;
We wish to be different,to be dynamic;
we will not accept things, but change.
We wish to revolutionise the world,to uplift mankind;
we wish to change perceptions alter conceptions;
we wish to charter a new path discover new lands;
we wish to be icons with footprints in Time's sand.
we believe that a change shall sweep the world
crushing all opposition stamping all criticism
a change where we believe in achieving
a change where we stand up and be counted
a change by which one shall feel proud to be different,unique
a change where we shall collectively affirm "yes we can"

in the recent past man has been trying to impart "sense' into electronic chips.i.e artificial intelligence as the geeks call it.but finally it has been done people .all hail apple!!my ipod a 5th generation 30 gig CLASSIC[emphasis intended] has two a few extraordinary traits.this "discovery" of mine was made during the past few days.rewinding back to the day before of day before yesterday:while i was pondering on how to approach a certain Y[sick of using x in maths so] to whom i havent spoken in a few years and selected "shuffle songs"and ma ipod responded by choosing a brilliant song from its inventory "crash and burn" by the band "savage garden"[a band i recommend],an inspiring motivating,pat on your back kind of song which had lyrics like
"when darkness is upon your door and you feel that you cant take any more
let me be the one you call,if you jump ill break your fall
take you out and go with you into the night"
coming back:the mission was a whooping success and when i was restraining from wolf whistling with great difficulty,my i pod had the audacity to ply me a song of a village belle mourning her loss!!![porale ponnuthaye for the ARR fanatics].im a fan of rahmanji but even so there is a time and place for everything.
this experiment led me to two logical conclusions:
my ipod has
a)A.I[artificial intelligence for the technically uninitiated]
b)attitude[which many humans fail to possess]
wonder how it has those.perhaps kamal hassan has an answer.in his movie "dasavatharam"he says that a butterfly may be the cause of a tsunami[chaos theory simplified to an absurd extent.refer "web of life "by frijtof capra]for me the cause may be simpler to find.a simple drop of my ipod may be the reason for this."chaos theory"validates this.[i know the colour is crap but it is for a reason]

So speaks the Devil who's power continues to grow
So much so that He Boasts with eyes aglow
"Oh mortals fear my wrath!!!!
For i do not answer to the cross
They call Me the Master of Evil,
the Lord of Darkness,
the Doomer of souls
I am known by many such names
But accounts of Me are verily the same.
Holy men fear my wrath
And none dare cross My path
The pious shall not stop my march
For I posses all tainted hearts.
Men don't see My hand at work
And its with Damnation they flirt.
For I work my work in myriad ways
And make Man faithless in his own faith.
Seduction is my passion,and fear my friend
And My temptations will make Man's will bend
Men slave for my slave Desire
And slowly inch closer to Hell Fire
Men lust for my ally lust
And My Temptresses they trust.
The sovereignty of the Father wanes
An age of darkness dawns
My time shall come
It wont be long !!"

YES WE CAN:THE CHANGE HAS ARRIVED
If there is anyone out there who still doubts that
It’s the answer told by lines that stretched around schools and churches in numbers this nation has never seen; by people who waited three hours and four hours, many for the very first time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different; that their voice could be that difference.
It’s the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled – Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of Red States and Blue States: we are, and always will be, the United States of America.
It’s the answer that led those who have been told for so long by so many to be cynical, and fearful, and doubtful of what we can achieve to put their hands on the arc of history and bend it once more toward the hope of a better day.
I just received a very gracious call from Senator McCain. He fought long and hard in this campaign, and he’s fought even longer and harder for the country he loves. He has endured sacrifices for
But above all, I will never forget who this victory truly belongs to – it belongs to you.
I was never the likeliest candidate for this office. We didn’t start with much money or many endorsements. Our campaign was not hatched in the halls of
It was built by working men and women who dug into what little savings they had to give five dollars and ten dollars and twenty dollars to this cause. It grew strength from the young people who rejected the myth of their generation’s apathy; who left their homes and their families for jobs that offered little pay and less sleep; from the not-so-young people who braved the bitter cold and scorching heat to knock on the doors of perfect strangers; from the millions of Americans who volunteered, and organized, and proved that more than two centuries later, a government of the people, by the people and for the people has not perished from this Earth. This is your victory.
For even as we celebrate tonight, we know the challenges that tomorrow will bring are the greatest of our lifetime – two wars, a planet in peril, the worst financial crisis in a century. Even as we stand here tonight, we know there are brave Americans waking up in the deserts of
The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even one term, but
But I will always be honest with you about the challenges we face. I will listen to you, especially when we disagree. And above all, I will ask you join in the work of remaking this nation the only way it’s been done in
So let us summon a new spirit of patriotism; of service and responsibility where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look after not only ourselves, but each other. Let us remember that if this financial crisis taught us anything, it’s that we cannot have a thriving Wall Street while
And to all those watching tonight from beyond our shores, from parliaments and palaces to those who are huddled around radios in the forgotten corners of our world – our stories are singular, but our destiny is shared, and a new dawn of American leadership is at hand. To those who would tear this world down – we will defeat you. To those who seek peace and security – we support you. And to all those who have wondered if America’s beacon still burns as bright – tonight we proved once more that the true strength of our nation comes not from our the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity, and unyielding hope.
For that is the true genius of
But one that’s on my mind tonight is about a woman who cast her ballot in
She was born just a generation past slavery; a time when there were no cars on the road or planes in the sky; when someone like her couldn’t vote for two reasons – because she was a woman and because of the color of her skin.
And tonight, I think about all that she’s seen throughout her century in America – the heartache and the hope; the struggle and the progress; the times we were told that we can’t, and the people who pressed on with that American creed: Yes we can.
At a time when women’s voices were silenced and their hopes dismissed, she lived to see them stand up and speak out and reach for the ballot. Yes we can.
When there was despair in the dust bowl and depression across the land, she saw a nation conquer fear itself with a New Deal, new jobs and a new sense of common purpose. Yes we can.
When the bombs fell on our harbor and tyranny threatened the world, she was there to witness a generation rise to greatness and a democracy was saved. Yes we can.
She was there for the buses in
A man touched down on the moon, a wall came down in
This is our chance to answer that call. This is our moment. This is our time – to put our people back to work and open doors of opportunity for our kids; to restore prosperity and promote the cause of peace; to reclaim the American Dream and reaffirm that fundamental truth – that out of many, we are one; that while we breathe, we hope, and where we are met with cynicism, and doubt, and those who tell us that we can’t, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people:
Yes We

A SLEEPLESS NIGHT
Here i wake up in the middle of the night
With an emptiness no company can assuage;
A void no music can fill;
A depression no drug can cure;
A joy no one can shatter;
A yearning no travel can end;
A feeling no words can describe;
Agony and ecstasy;
Pain and pleasure;
Noise and music;
Tears and a smile;
Joy unbounded ;
Emotions uncontrolled;
A thirst insatiable;
I try to reason out,to find,
The cause of all this.
Why a mere visit to my heart
Would cause it to swell
To burst forth and engulf the very soul
But deep down,
I know who you are :
How can i forget?
No matter how much i wish to,
You always find a way
To make me reminiscence
To wake up sleepless
With a pen in hand
And a pain in my heart
Writing things i cannot speak
I wish i could forget you
Alas!!!My love is too strong, too deep;
It would kill me to hate you;
So all i wish for now is
Someday you will read this and understand,
Comprehend how much i love you
waiting for that day.

I am, as all men are,limited
Limited, by my notions and conceptions;
Limited,by the way in which I perceive the world.
I see the world as my thoughts allow me to see,
And try to influence it based on what i believe.
I paint my world with my pen as the brush;
with emotions as my colour
and the heart as my canvas.
I let my pen flow free
Not allowing rhythm or structure to limit me.
But out of chaos arises order
And even this writing has a rhythm
Rhythm which keeps pace with the pulse of my heart.
In the depths of my soul the rhythm grows vaster
Till i fell the cosmos sway to the dance of the Master.
I feel my consciousness reaching out
And finally feel one with the vastness
Ah!the limitations vanish and the bonds sever
O divine master i thank thee!
For thy grace has set me free.
